Acorn Secures 100% Ownership of OmniMetrix Subsidiary via Purchase of Remaining 1% Stake
Acorn Energy acquired the remaining 1% interest in its OmniMetrix subsidiary from former CEO Walter Czarnecki in exchange for 25,096 newly issued shares.
The transaction brings Acorn’s ownership of OmniMetrix to 100%, streamlining the corporate structure and eliminating a $34,000 non-controlling interest deduction from net income.
CEO Jan Loeb stated that the simplified ownership structure could facilitate future M&A discussions while allowing the company to preserve cash.
