Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information LowFloatWire (“we,” “us”) collects when you use lowfloatwire.com (the “Service”), why we collect it, and the choices you have. LowFloatWire is a free, informational stock screener and news monitor — we collect only what we need to run it.

2. What we collect

  • Email address — required to create an account. Used for one-time sign-in codes and transactional notices (account and security messages).
  • Phone number — optional, collected only if you opt in to SMS alerts. Used solely to deliver the text messages you signed up for.
  • Usage data — basic technical and interaction data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and request logs, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Consent records — when you accept the Terms, Privacy Policy, or SMS disclosure, we store the text version you agreed to and when, so we can prove what you consented to.

We do not collect payment information (the Service is free), and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

3. Why we use it

  • to authenticate you with one-time passcodes (email or SMS);
  • to send transactional messages such as sign-in codes and security notices;
  • to deliver the SMS alerts you explicitly opted in to, if any;
  • to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service (for example rate limiting, abuse prevention, and aggregate usage analysis); and
  • to comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-party processors

We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run LowFloatWire, and only for the purposes described here:

  • Resend — delivers our transactional email (sign-in codes, account notices).
  • Twilio — delivers SMS messages to users who opted in to text alerts.
  • Cloudflare — provides network infrastructure, content delivery, and security (such as DDoS protection), and processes request metadata like IP addresses in doing so.
  • Market data providers — supply the quotes, filings, and news shown on the Service. They receive technical request data, not your account details.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.

5. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.

6. Retention

We keep your account information (email, and phone if provided) for as long as your account exists. Consent records are retained while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal record-keeping obligations. Server and usage logs are kept for a limited operational window and then deleted or aggregated. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information except where retention is required by law.

7. Cookies

The Service uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in after authentication. It is required for the Service to function and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. If optional analytics are ever enabled, they run only with your consent and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

8. Your rights and choices

  • Access or deletion — email [email protected] to request a copy of your data or to delete your account and associated personal information.
  • SMS opt-out — reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe immediately, or HELP for help.
  • Corrections — contact us to correct inaccurate account information.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We honor valid requests regardless of jurisdiction where reasonably practicable.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page, and account holders may be notified by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
