Accendra Health Names Kenneth Gardner-Smith as President and Chief Executive Officer to Lead the Company’s Next Chapter of Growth
Accendra Health named Kenneth Gardner-Smith as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, with the transition expected early in the fourth quarter of 2026. He succeeds Edward A. Pesicka, who announced his intent to retire in August.
Gardner-Smith has served on Accendra's board since March 2022 and currently leads Veritas Veterinary Partners, where he delivered double-digit average quarterly revenue growth; he previously spent 13 years at DaVita, including nine as a senior P&L owner managing $1.5 billion in operations.
Pesicka will remain President and CEO until the handoff, then retire from the board while serving as an advisor, and the company expects no disruption to operations or to patients, providers, and partners during the transition.
Separately, Accendra named Scott Lloyd as Chief Commercial Officer effective October 5, 2026, a newly created role consolidating commercial strategy, sales, and provider and payor partnerships under a single leader.
