Amwell Receives Letter of Intent from Department of Veterans Affairs to Help Power its Digital Health Infrastructure
Amwell announced that the Department of Veterans Affairs has issued a Letter of Intent for the company to deploy its virtual health platform across the VA enterprise and help power the modernization of the VA's digital health infrastructure.
The LOI followed a comprehensive VA evaluation that cited Amwell's scalable video consultations, interoperability, cybersecurity compliance, and support for integrated care delivery as significant factors.
The letter is explicitly non-binding; any formal agreement remains contingent on negotiating and executing a definitive contract and satisfying all applicable federal procurement requirements.
Amwell's own forward-looking statements flag failure to convert the LOI, procurement protest, scope reduction, and appropriations or continuing-resolution risk as key uncertainties, alongside continuation of its DHA relationship beyond Q3 2026.
