Bassett Reports Fiscal Third Quarter Results
Bassett Furniture reported fiscal Q3 revenue of $82.8 million, up 3.4% year-over-year, with diluted EPS of $0.24 versus $0.09 a year ago.
Operating income jumped to $2.8 million (3.4% of sales) from $0.6 million, helped by $2.8 million in IEEPA tariff refunds following the Supreme Court's February 2026 decision, of which $1.0 million boosted Q3 gross profit.
Momentum indicators were strong: wholesale orders rose 7.9%, written retail sales grew 4.4%, and e-commerce written sales were up 48%.
Management remains cautious on macro headwinds from housing slowness and higher mortgage rates, planning more aggressive Black Friday promotions for Q4.
