CLPS Incorporation Completes AI-Assisted Anti-Money Laundering Review Project for a Major Bank, Achieving Accuracy with Fine-Tuned Large Language Model
CLPS completed its generative AI-assisted anti-money laundering review project for a leading Chinese commercial bank inside a Hong Kong regulator's Gen A.I. Sandbox, earning a formal client commendation letter.
The fine-tuned small open-source LLM achieved risk-rating accuracy exceeding 90%, versus over 40% for an off-the-shelf LLM and just over 30% for a model with 400% more parameters — validating a low-compute, fine-tuning-first approach for AML workflows.
CLPS plans to replicate the methodology across loan approval, credit monitoring, and user behavior analysis, and says the project supports its strategic shift from project-based delivery toward proprietary financial AI products. No contract value or revenue contribution was disclosed.
