Envoy Medical Announces New Patents, Further Expanding Global Patent Portfolio
Envoy Medical announced the grant of two new international patents — one from Canada and one from Hong Kong — bringing its global portfolio to 97 granted patents (40 U.S., 57 foreign) with 35 pending applications.
The Canadian patent covers lead characterization in implantable cochlear systems; the Hong Kong patent covers compensation for middle-ear sensor variability, both supporting the company's fully implanted hearing platform.
The IP news is incremental and does not change the regulatory timeline for the investigational Acclaim cochlear implant, which remains under a U.S. pivotal clinical trial with FDA Breakthrough Device Designation.
