Community Health Systems released its 2026 Community Impact Report, a promotional recap of operational and community metrics for the year ended 12/31/2025.
The report highlights 12.1 million patient encounters, $4.4 billion in uncompensated care, $5.4 billion in payroll and benefits, $443 million in taxes paid, and $398 million in capital investments across the hospital system.
Clinical and workforce highlights include sepsis mortality reduced by more than 50% since 2022, over 900 hospital-acquired infections prevented, and more than $90 million in employee tuition and loan-repayment support through the Pathways Program.
CHS operates 60 affiliated hospitals with more than 8,000 beds and 800-plus sites of care across 32 markets in 12 states; the release contains no new financial results or guidance and does not change the investment thesis.
