DarioHealth Announces Independent Aon Analysis that Supports Estimated 2.5%-7.2% In-Year Reduction in Total Healthcare Costs
DarioHealth announced an independent review by Aon's Managed Care Services Team concluding that evidence supports an estimated 2.5%-7.2% annual reduction in total healthcare costs across a covered population.
For a representative 20,000-life population, Aon estimated $3.8 million to $10.8 million in annual savings, and found $5,077 in annual savings and 23.5% fewer inpatient discharges per type 2 diabetes user versus matched non-users.
Aon noted the estimates may be conservative, adding 1.6-2.8 percentage points of potential savings from multi-condition management and physician access, for a potential total of 10% annual savings. However, the review was limited to materials identified or provided by Dario and did not independently verify underlying data — a meaningful caveat for payers evaluating the claims.
