Datasea Reports Fiscal Year 2026 Results with Gross Profit Up 70.1% and Gross Margin Increased to 10.2% Despite Lower Revenue
Datasea reported fiscal 2026 revenue of approximately $40.70 million, down 43.17% from $71.62 million a year earlier, which management framed as a deliberate exit from lower-margin standardized digital services.
Profitability metrics improved sharply: gross profit rose 70.1% to $4.16 million, gross margin expanded to 10.21% from 3.41%, net loss narrowed 57% to $2.19 million, and operating cash flow turned positive at $1.98 million.
The company raised R&D spending about 180% to $2.57 million, focused on acoustic intelligence and the NeuroVibe platform, while cutting selling and G&A expenses.
Datasea also disclosed an additional 180-day Nasdaq compliance period, until March 22, 2027, to regain compliance with the minimum bid price rule — a flag for a sub-$1 stock still unprofitable.
