GrafTech Reports Second Quarter 2026 Results
GrafTech reported Q2 2026 net sales of $127 million, down 3% year-over-year as pricing declines offset an 8% increase in sales volume to 30.8 thousand MT. The company posted a net loss of $40 million, improving from a loss of $87 million in the prior-year quarter which included a $43 million non-cash tax expense.
Adjusted EBITDA was $2 million, down from $3 million in Q2 2025, reflecting lower realized pricing partially offset by lower cash costs per MT. Total liquidity stood at $253 million as of June 30, supported by a recent $100 million draw on the delayed draw term loan facility.
Management reaffirmed expectations for 5-10% full-year volume growth and low single-digit percentage-point decline in cash costs per MT. The company noted recent price increases of $600-$1,200 per MT have secured customer commitments at weighted-average prices more than 15% above Q1 levels.
