Elme Communities Provides Update On Liquidation Activities
Elme Communities has completed the sale of all remaining properties, generating approximately $103.2 million in net proceeds from the final two sales, and repaid its $520 million term loan in full.
The Board declared an additional liquidating distribution of $1.74 per share, payable October 22, 2026 to holders of record October 9, bringing total liquidating distributions to $16.41 per share. Shares will trade with NYSE due bills through October 22, meaning buyers in that window receive the dividend.
Elme will file a Form 25 on October 26, expects its last NYSE trading day to be November 5, 2026, and intends to dissolve effective November 6, transferring residual assets to a liquidating trust with FTI Consulting expected to serve as liquidating trustee.
Roughly $23.3 million of wind-down liabilities are estimated, with $9.5 million of reserves held back; any residual distribution from the trust is discretionary and its timing is uncertain.
