Its principal customers for these products and services are steel distributors and customers manufacturing steel products, such as steel buildings, railroad cars, barges, tanks and containers, trailers, component parts and other fabricated steel products. The Tubular segment manufactures line and oil country pipes, as well as pipes for structural applications. This segment sells its tubular products principally to steel and pipe distributors through its own sales force. Friedman Industries reported Q1 fiscal 2027 net earnings of $12.8 million, or $1.79 per share, on record sales volume of 206,000 tons.
Revenue surged 78% year-over-year to $240.0 million, while EBITDA more than doubled to $19.3 million, driven by higher average selling prices and the integration of Century Metals.
Management expects Q2 sales volumes to remain comparable to Q1 levels, with sequential margin improvement anticipated from further price increases.
