Maiden Drilling Confirms Large Magmatic-Hydrothermal System and Gold-Bearing Structures at Kasie Ridge
Maiden drilling at the Kasie Ridge target on Great Pacific Gold's Wild Dog Project in East New Britain, Papua New Guinea intersected a vertically zoned advanced argillic alteration system across two holes spaced about 315 m apart, with the strongest sulphide-rich alteration at the bottom of the deepest hole and the system open at depth.
Gold appears in both holes: eight individual KAS-02 samples graded 0.20-1.55 g/t Au across two structurally controlled zones (including 1.55 g/t Au at 151.7 m), while KAS-01A carried a broad silver halo with values up to 22.4 g/t Ag; copper was uniformly low at a maximum of 0.09%.
Downhole pathfinder chemistry strengthens with depth — rhenium peaking at 2.84 ppm below 500 m alongside rising molybdenum, selenium and tellurium, with visible chalcopyrite below roughly 480 m — which the company interprets as vectoring toward an untested magmatic source beneath or beside the drilled lithocap.
Both rigs remain active at Magiabe and Mengmut, where 1,639.4 m had been drilled across nine holes as of 15 September 2026 with all assays pending; follow-up drill targeting at Kasie Ridge awaits the surface mapping program and remaining KAS-02 multi-element and XRD results.
