ImmuCell reported Q2 revenue of $7.2 million, up 11.5% year-over-year, with net income rising to $1.8 million or $0.20 per diluted share.
Cash and cash equivalents increased significantly to $8.9 million, aided by a one-time $2 million settlement payment from a former contract manufacturer, though gross margins contracted to 34% due to lower volumes and manufacturing scrap.
The company authorized a two-phase capacity expansion program totaling approximately $8 million to triple production capacity for its First Defense product line over the next 18 months.
