St. John Names Humberto Leon Creative Director
Lanvin Group (NYSE: LANV) has named Humberto Leon Creative Director of St. John, the American luxury house known for knitwear, sportswear and jewelry.
Leon co-founded the influential retail concept Opening Ceremony with Carol Lim in 2002 and served as Creative Director of Kenzo from 2011 to 2019; most recently he oversaw the visual identity of global girl group KATSEYE.
The appointment is framed as a new chapter for the roughly 65-year-old St. John brand, with Leon expected to refresh its signatures while preserving its California craftsmanship heritage.
Lanvin Group, headquartered in Shanghai and Milan, manages Lanvin, Wolford, Sergio Rossi and St. John Knits; this is a brand-level creative move rather than a corporate or financial event.
