Key offerings from the company include the ReWalk Exo-Suit and the ReWalk Personal 6.0. Founded by Amit Goffer on June 20, 2001, the enterprise maintains its corporate headquarters in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
Peer-Reviewed Study of Lifeward’s ReWalk® Exoskeleton Reports Significant Improvements in Daily Activity Performance, Satisfaction, and Pain
Lifeward announced publication of an independent, researcher-led peer-reviewed pilot study in the Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice showing ReWalk personal exoskeleton users with chronic spinal cord injury could perform everyday kitchen and grooming tasks while standing in their homes.
All 12 participants completed kitchen tasks and 10 of 12 completed grooming tasks, with statistically significant gains in COPM performance (P=.008) and satisfaction (P=.003), significantly lower pain versus wheelchair use (P=.01), and 8 of 12 reporting bowel and bladder function improvements.
The publication lands as ReWalk sales grew 13% year-over-year to $2.5 million in Q2 2026, contributing to a 16% rise in total Lifeward revenue to $6.6 million, and as the company pilots distribution through Ottobock Care's network of more than 50 U.S. patient clinics.
Management framed the peer-reviewed evidence as a lever to expand clinician, patient, and payer adoption, noting Medicare Fee-for-Service and many national Medicare Advantage plans are already authorizing ReWalk utilization for clinically appropriate patients.
