Professor Patrick Katoto has been appointed principal investigator and preparatory work is underway, with first patient dosing expected within a few weeks as drug supplies are already on the ground.
The company believes NV-387's oral formulation offers a significant logistical advantage over infusion-based treatments like Remdesivir in a resource-limited outbreak setting.
