OPAL Fuels hosted Congressman Eugene Vindman at its Prince William County RNG facility to discuss the role of domestic RNG production in energy security and local economic growth.
The facility, wholly owned by OPAL, began commercial operations in 2024 and has a nameplate design capacity of approximately 12 million gasoline gallon equivalents per year.
Recent operational highlights include the plant running at approximately 92% efficiency and increasing landfill-gas recovery by roughly 20% over the past year.
