Smith Douglas Homes Reports Second Quarter 2026 Results
Smith Douglas reported Q2 revenue of $273 million, up 22% year-over-year, driven by a 25% increase in home closings to 839 units and a 32% rise in net new orders to 970 units.
Despite strong volume growth, profitability suffered as gross margins contracted to 17.6% from 23.2%, and the company recorded $7.6 million in inventory impairment charges, driving EPS down to $0.03 from $0.26 a year ago.
The company repurchased 312,351 shares for $4.4 million during the quarter, while debt-to-book capitalization increased to 13.2% from 9.0% at the end of last year.
