Super League Issues Letter to Stockholders on Metaplanet Transaction
Super League CEO Matt Edelman issued a stockholder letter urging support for the Metaplanet transaction ahead of the October 16, 2026 Annual Meeting vote.
Upon closing, Metaplanet would contribute 2,100 Bitcoin — worth approximately $179 million as of October 2, 2026 — become controlling stockholder with a five-year lock-up, and rename the Nasdaq-listed company Superplanet, Inc.
Management says the existing gaming media and advertising business continues in parallel, with the Bitcoin treasury as the primary growth driver; the deal remains subject to stockholder approval and other closing conditions.
