United Bancshares declared a quarterly dividend of $0.26 per share, a 13% increase from the prior year, alongside reported Q2 net income of $1.7 million ($0.61 per share).
The earnings were negatively impacted by a strategic one-time pre-tax loss of $3.8 million from the sale of $40 million in investment securities, which were redeployed into higher-yielding assets.
Excluding the loss, adjusted earnings were approximately $4.5 million ($1.64 per share), supported by a 29 basis point expansion in net interest margin to 4.00% and solid loan growth of 9.30% annualized.
