Vuzix Ships High-Bandwidth Optical Interconnect Solution for AI Data Centers
Vuzix announced it has begun shipping samples of its Causeway waveguide bridge to partners for evaluation in AI data center optical interconnect applications.
The evaluation kit supports up to 19,200 parallel optical channels over a 30mm path, aiming to improve bandwidth density and reduce power consumption in co-packaged optics architectures.
Citing TrendForce data, Vuzix projects the addressable market for these technologies could grow to over $39 billion by 2030, representing a significant diversification opportunity beyond its smart glasses business.
