WRAP Moves to Operationalize De-Escalation, Advances New BolaWrap 150 Doctrine Toward California POST Certification
WRAP Technologies has completed a new law enforcement doctrine and training methodology built around the BolaWrap 150 and submitted the curriculum for independent validation ahead of applying for California POST certification.
The framework rests on ATF Ruling 2026-2, which classifies the BolaWrap 150 as an instrument of restraint rather than a firearm or any other weapon, allowing WRAP to position remote restraint as an option between verbal de-escalation and weapons-based force.
Management frames certified training, delivered digitally through the Wrap Tactics learning management system, as a potential recurring-revenue layer on top of device and cassette sales, with California intended as the first template to replicate across additional states.
No certification has been granted yet and the release contains no financial figures or adoption commitments; all stated benefits to the business remain prospective.
